As part of a local, regional and national movement, Halton Chamber is able to represent the interests of its members and lobby on behalf of businesses in the borough on issues affecting them. We regularly research and survey the views of our local businesses, feeding this vital information back to local, regional and national government departments.

Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP): Representation on the LEP is achieved with other Liverpool City Region Chambers and representatives from businesses within each Local Authority area. The LEP is committed to creating a thriving international city region, based upon global trade, science and innovation, manufacturing and tourism. The patnership covers the boroughs of Halton, Sefton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St. Helens and Wirral - an economic area that people recognise, with a population of 1.5 million and 49,000 businesses.
The plan includes major opportunities to create economic growth and jobs within the private sector through major projects such as Liverpool SuperPort, Halton's own Mersey Gateway, Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, Liverpool Waters and Wirral Waters. It also emphasises the importance of business start-up, support for small firms and accelerated business development.
Halton Strategic Partnership Board: Halton Chamber is part of the fabric of the Borough and, as such, has representation on the HSPB, to ensure that business views are heard and acted upon.
